Hey Mom, have questions about Homeschooling? Here’s what other moms had to say.

How do you connect with your kids?

Hollyn

Dinner time! It's the basis of my blog found at hollyn.com called Raise Them at The Table. Everything important happens around a shared meal. It's nourishment at it's finest!

I used to be able to pull off preplanning what appeared to be spontaneous field trips, but I've somehow lost that fervor as my youngest reached his teens. I honestly feel I have to return to this since I feel my youngest is losing out on that giddy and fun side of her Mom. I do, however, love to share some appropriate stories of my childhood or ones I've learned from their grandparents as teaching tools on car rides. I also love stopping everything to make their favorite meal/snack as a reward for their great grades/behaviors in the classroom.
